What we keep
Your login: your name, email, and your password (stored only in a scrambled form that can’t be turned back into it). Your date of birth if you add it.
Your money: what the bank connections you set up send (accounts, balances, transactions, holdings); statements and exports you upload; values you type in; goals and plans; and your answers, categories and rules. Passwords you save for locked statements, used only to open them.
Ask: your questions and the conversations, for 14 days.
Running it safely: when you sign in, and basic server records (such as the internet address a request came from and when) for security and fixing problems.
What we do with it
Only run Entrisense for you, keep it secure, and fix problems. We don’t sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
How it’s protected
Everything travels encrypted. Your statements, transaction details and saved passwords are stored encrypted with a key that is yours alone, itself protected by a master key held in a separate key service, where every use is logged. Access to the servers is limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe.
We don’t look at your data unless there’s a genuine need, such as checking a figure you’ve asked about or fixing something that’s broken, and then only at what’s needed, with your agreement wherever we can ask for it. While Entrisense is being tested, that need will sometimes come up.
Who else handles it
We use other companies to run Entrisense, each only for its own job: hosting (servers in the United States), the key service (today, Amazon Web Services), AI models (today, Claude on Amazon Bedrock), bank connections (today, SimpleFIN, which you connect to yourself; we never see your bank passwords) and market prices (they receive only fund and stock symbols, never anything about you).
We may add or change these companies as Entrisense develops. Each gets only what its job needs and must protect it at least as this policy describes. If a change would use your data in a significantly different way, we’ll tell you first.
We may disclose information if the law requires it, for example a valid court order. If Entrisense moves to a company we set up, or to whoever takes it on, your data goes with it under this policy, and we’ll tell you.
What goes to AI
A statement only if you say yes for that statement. For category suggestions, a place’s name and one example line with every number removed, never lines that may name a person. For Ask, your question and your earlier words in that conversation, never your figures. Settings lists everything that has gone to AI.
We use AI only through services whose terms say they don’t keep what they’re sent or use it to train their models, set up so they don’t (for example, with their request logs off). If that ever isn’t possible for a feature, we’ll ask you before your data goes to it.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have a login, except Ask’s conversations (14 days). When you delete your account, your data is removed from Entrisense at once, and from our encrypted backups as they’re replaced, within 30 days.
Your choices
You can see and correct your data in the app, turn AI for statements off in Settings, keep any place private from AI, and delete everything at any time. To ask for a copy of your data, tell us. We don’t sell or share personal information as California’s privacy law defines those words.
Entrisense isn’t for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly keep anyone’s data who is.
Changes and questions
If this policy changes, the app shows it again and asks you to accept it. For questions about these terms or your data, tell the person who invited you, or write to us.
